Executive Director

Mike Price

Michael Price is a Colorado-based entrepreneur and artist. He is an accomplished, energetic and results driven public relations and government affairs manager with over a decade of experience in strategic services. He provides comprehensive solutions that include messaging, branding, and design.

At Mighty Strong Media, the firm he founded, Michael combines the use of emerging technologies with traditional communications and grassroots mobilization to maximize the reach of his clients’ messages. As the executive director of the Coalition for a Connected West, he promotes policies that result in greater access to technology, consumer choice and market driven innovation.

Michael was formerly a Press Secretary and campaign manager for a DC city council member.  Under his management, the councilmember’s proactive communications set the tone for public relations in District government.  Michael also managed communications for the DC Council’s Committee on Economic Development. The committee oversaw a nearly $30 billion pipeline of construction projects throughout the District.  It was responsible for public land dispositions, reviewing the integrity of the city’s business policies, tourism, the convention center and sports and entertainment facilities.

During the 2006 Congressional cycle Michael worked as National Field & Training Director for Communities United to Strengthen America. CU had offices in 12 bellwether Congressional districts including New Mexico, Colorado, Texas, Iowa, Indiana, Pennsylvania and Connecticut. The organization empowered the middle-class by combining the three forces of research, communications and grassroots marketing. Michael traveled across the country working with and training CU staff in specialized campaign tactics, communications and targeting.

Before moving to Washington, DC Michael worked in New York for five years, concentrating on statewide, federal, Assembly and mayoral campaigns. His career started with the New York State Democratic Assembly Campaign Committee (DACC) running campaigns and developing communication strategies in marginal districts in Western New York. At DACC he developed and executed comprehensive campaign plans with budgets that included commercial development and production, earned media events, direct mail, field and volunteer management.

Michael studied Illustration and Design and continues to pursue a passion for art. You can view his work in the gallery. He lives in Colorado with his wife and daughter.
